Metal Men

Wherever we go, there are silver and gold – usually men – in public squares.  You’ve seen them – human statues, human robots.  Here is a collection of some of my favorites.

This guy (below) was probably my favorite of all time, in Salzburg, Austria. No one around the square ever sees him set up – someone erects a barrier around him and he “appears” – floating!  We had a good time wondering how the structure was built to allow him to stay aloft.
